Sisters

The girls and I were watching Tarzan together today. I thought this was a Kodak moment. Then Kennedy realized what I was doing and had to cheese for the camera.
Still a pretty cute picture though!

Challenging

My life is becoming more and more challenging each day. No longer does Miss Ansley just lay there. Oh no, this little woman is all over the place...all by rolling. She's already trying hard to get up and crawl, but I'm praying this doesn't happen for at least another month! I can no longer put her in the middle of my bed with a toy while I shower. Nor can I place her in her swing or her bouncy seat without buckling her in. I found this out today. Well, I had already figured it out, but if I'm in the room with her, sometimes I'm lazy. I did get a chance to snap a couple of pictures though.

It's shocking that I got a picture of her smiling today. She has another tooth coming in and she's been making sure everyone is aware of it with her cries. She has her six month appointment next week, so I'll have stats for you then.

You've Got Mail

Kennedy was very excited to receive mail today from her Nana and Papa (Jeremy's parents). She wanted me to take her picture with it. She was having trouble smiling at the right time though.

Then I tried to get some pictures of Ansley's toothy (well one tooth) grin. But I mostly caught her doing what she does pretty much all the time...chew on things...anything she can get her hands on.

One other thing she just started doing a few weeks ago is reaching for us. Talk about melting your heart! She's such a sweet baby!

Maine

For those of you that didn't know, I (Jeremy) just got back from a mission trip to Maine. It was such a blessing to go on this trip. I got to know the Sr. High of my new youth group really well. I guess that's what happens when you travel 22+ hours in a van together.

The youth group did a great job, and we got to see a lot of cool things while we were there. Check out some of the pictures.

Pretty skirt!

Kennedy received a great surprise today when she got a belated birthday gift from her Aunt Kendal and Uncle Jeremy. She was so excited. I had to post a picture of her in her new dress up skirt. Thanks Kendal and Jer!

Fun at Betsy's!

Jeremy is away for almost 2 weeks on a mission trip with his new youth group. Rather than stay home by myself in a place that I don't really know my way around so well, I decided to pack up the girls and go visit Betsy at her new home in Bentonville, Arkansas. The trip here was pretty painless--Ansley slept almost all of it, and when Kennedy's DVD player ran out of juice, she was entertained by listening to her High School Musical soundtracks on my ipod. However, I am a little worried about the trip home since my ipod went wacky and I lost everything on it! We are having a great time and will be heading home on Thursday. Even though Betsy doesn't have any toys for Kennedy to play with, she is getting creative and finding things to keep her occupied:

Betsy also has a pool at her apartments, so we have spent some time there as well. I bought Kennedy this $2 float at Walmart, and she has been playing with it around the apartment as well:

Poor Ansley has been running a fever since Saturday. I don't know if it's due to teething or if she's had some sort of virus. I think the fever finally broke today. However, you would never know the poor kid didn't feel good, she was still just as happy as could be...until it was time for bed...we've had some rough nights to say the least. Here's some pictures of her (and Kennedy):

One highlight of my trip was getting to see my old roommate and great friend Ashley from college yesterday! She just had her second child 3 weeks ago, so we went to visit her. She also has a little boy around Kennedy's age. She only lives like 15 minutes from Betsy. We hadn't seen each other since her wedding 6 years ago! She took some pictures she is going to email me, so I'll post those later.
I'll leave with with a couple more pictures. Pray for us as we venture home on Thursday!

Happy 4th of July!

Just wanted to post a picture of Ansley in her cute little 4th of July outfit. Also, check out the nice addition to Kennedy's forehead. She likes to spin and make herself dizzy a lot. She must not be used to where all the furniture is in our new house though...she ran right into a table.
